January 30, 2012 – West Point, GA: The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (Cle) recognized Jim Pate of Columbus, Georgia, CIC at J. Smith Lanier & Co., with a certificate honoring his 30 years of faithful participation in advanced education. Making CIC history by being among the first group of ClC's to reach this 30 year milestone, Jim earned the designation through a series of examinations and has maintained his CIC designation by annual attendance at an approved CIC continuing education.
