Mary Moore, Executive Director of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation-GA Chapter said, "The level of support that is provided by J. Smith Lanier & Co. and dozens of other generous sponsors who participate to help the children we serve is truly remarkable. When our sponsors see and meet our young brain tumor survivors out there on the course each year, they keep coming back. It's impossible not to want to help when you know what these kids go through."
The Georgia Chapter of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (formerly known asthe Brain Tumor Foundation for Children) started out as a support group for parents at Egleston Children’s Hospital in 1983. Now the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation serves children and families in nine states (compared to only one when J. Smith Lanier & Co. first joined as title sponsor of this event) the PBTF continues to grow and help more and more children each year. Proceeds from this event will help hundreds of children and their families by enabling the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation to provide emotional, social and financial assistance; education and information; scholarships; research funding, and more.
