July 7, 2015 – OneBeacon Insurance Group recently awarded $2,000 scholarships to 16 high-school seniors, including eight children of OneBeacon employees and eight children of the company's distribution partners. Auburn Terry, daughter of Cindy Terry of J. Smith Lanier & Co. in Opelika was a reciepent. Recipients were selected based on their academic performance, leadership roles and participation in school and community activities.
Auburn will attend Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama this Fall. She recently graduated from Opelika High School with Honors. Auburn is active in her Church Youth Group, School Newspaper, Theatre and Music.

OneBeacon's scholarship program is funded by the OneBeacon Charitable Trust and managed by Scholarship Management Services®, a nonprofit scholarship program administrator. Now in its 12th consecutive year, the program is available to OneBeacon employees and the agents, brokers and wholesalers that represent the company's various specialty businesses. Since its inception in 2003, OneBeacon's program has awarded over 220 students with college scholarships.
