Commercial Lines Account Manager

The main goal and function of a Commercial Lines Account Manager is to assist the production team in the production and service of new and existing accounts.  This responsibility includes customer service and all related functions of support for the Commercial Lines book of business to which they are assigned.

Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Correspondence with clients and carriers
  • Marketing of new and renewal business
  • Processing and invoicing all new and renewal policies and endorsements
  • Investigate accounting discrepancies
  • Monitoring aged receivables
  • Certificates of Insurance


  • Commercial Lines insurance experience required
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Able to research and analyze problems independently
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication
  • Able to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Able to self-check for accuracy
  • Must learn the Agency Management System and Document Imaging System
  • Must have Resident State Agents License or obtain within 90 days of employment
