MMA-SE Region Business Insurance Account Manager

The main goal and function of a Business Insurance Account Manager is to assist the production team in the production and service of new and existing accounts.

Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Certificates of Insurance
  • Basic file maintenance
  • Assist with preparation of applications
  • Basic correspondence with clients and companies
  • Assists with invoicing of new and renewal policies and endorsements
  • Help investigate accounting discrepancies and correct accordingly
  • Assist team with endorsement requests and ID cards
  • Process incoming requests for additional information from the carriers
  • Assist the team in marketing of new and renewal business including Summaries & Proposals
  • Assist with processing policies, policy audits, and audit follow-ups


  • Previous Business Insurance / Commercial Lines insurance experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to research and analyze problems independently
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must have excellent written communication and able to develop business letters
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Able to self-check for accuracy
  • Must learn the Agency Management System and Document Imaging System
  • Must have Resident State Agents License or obtain within 90 days of employment
