Account Executive, Commercial Lines – Select/Small Business Unit

Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The Account Executive for the Select Business Unit is responsible for the production and service of new and existing accounts, as well as managing the SBU team.

  • Manage and grow the existing SBU book of business
  • Mentor and manage the SBU team and department
  • Develop successful relationships with clients
  • Ensure clients are provided the best service, coverage, and pricing
  • Encourage account rounding, when applicable
  • Monitor and collect aged receivables
  • Assist the team in marketing of new and renewal business
  • Work with current team to ensure SBU is efficient, organized, and profitable
  • Correspond with clients, prospects, and carriers
  • Utilize agency management and imaging systems to service clients and process according to agency standards
  • Investigate all accounting discrepancies and correct accordingly
  • Process incoming requests for additional information from the carriers as received


  • Must be experienced in C/L insurance, preferably brokerage experience
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills
  • Independent decision maker with motivation and enthusiasm
  • Proven team leader and mentor
  • Excellent written & verbal communications
  • Multi-tasked and detail oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Must learn the agency management and imaging systems
  • Must have agency license in resident state or obtain within 90 days of employment
