Account Executive – Benefits

This is a non-sales, senior-level position, which is responsible for internal administrative management of the production team, as well as ensuring that all clients’ expectations are exceeded from a customer service standpoint.  This position requires at least 10 years of prior experience within Employee Benefits or a related field.

Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Internal administrative management of production team
  • Ensure that all aspects of outstanding customer service are provided to clients, both directly and by other members of the production team
  • Communicate closely with Producers, regarding pertinent activity on their accounts
  • Act as key liaison with clients, to assess needs and provide optimal solutions
  • Develop, maintain and execute proactive service plan for each client
  • Oversee, facilitate or execute new/renewal marketing process, as needed
  • Design detailed analyses and presentations for prospect/client meetings
  • Oversee, facilitate or execute implementation of new clients or additional coverage for existing clients
  • Develop education and communication materials, including Benefit Enrollment Guides
  • Lead enrollment meetings, prospect meetings and client/vendor meetings, as needed
  • Review SPD’s and agreements/contracts for accuracy
  • Assist clients with resources relative to HIPAA, COBRA, FLEX, ERISA, etc.
  • Oversee or handle resolution of any claim and plan administration problems/issues
  • Filing, file set-up, file maintenance in Agency Management and Imaging Systems

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Employee Benefits or a related field
  • Previous managerial or team-lead experience a plus
  • Excellent presentation, written, communication & customer service skills
  • Excellent leadership skills; ability to delegate & oversee the work of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Must learn the Agency Management and Imaging Systems
  • Must have resident Agents License in Life and Health or obtain within 90 days
