"J. Smith Lanier & Co. is proud to continue its longstanding support of the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children through the Eighth Annual J. Smith Lanier & Co. Charity Golf Classic. Our partnership with the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children - not only through this event, but in other ways throughout the year where our employees interact with children and families served - allows us to see firsthand the difference we are making for so many in the southeast," said J. Smith Lanier & Co. Chairman and CEO, D. Gaines Lanier.
Now serving children and families in eight states (compared to Georgia only when J. Smith Lanier & Co. first joined as title sponsor of this event) BTFC continues to grow and help more and more children each year. Proceeds from this event will help hundreds of children and their families by enabling the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children to provide emotional, social and financial assistance; education and information; scholarships; research funding and more.
Mary Moore, BTFC's Executive Director, adds, "Through the establishment of this premier event eight years ago, BTFC has been completely transformed as a nonprofit organization. We have grown from a Georgia-focused charity to one with a southeastern reach. It has empowered us to make a great contribution to the pediatric brain tumor population in the region."
