J. Smith Lanier & Co. Raises Over $2.5 Million Over the Last 12 Years to Benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation

May 11, 2016 – J. Smith Lanier & Co. is proud to announce over $240,000 net revenue was recently raised at the 12th Annual J. Smith Lanier & Co. Charity Classic to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. From 2005-2016, over $2.5 million has been donated to the Foundation.


The event was held at Chateau Elan Golf Club on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016. Over 300 golfers from around the Southeast and 7 PBTF brain tumor survivors and their families were on hand to play golf and meet the sponsors.

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) is the world's largest nonprofit focused on finding a cure for childhood brain tumors and supporting the families who live with this deadly form of childhood cancer. The Georgia Chapter assists hundreds of families each year with services that include emotional and social support; education and information; college scholarships; and more. The proceeds from this event support The Butterfly Fund, which provides emergency financial assistance for families when a child is on treatment.
