Event Benefits the Georgia Chapter of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation
West Point, Georgia.—J. Smith Lanier & Co., a Marsh & McLennan LLC company (JSL), announced today that its 2017 Charity Golf Classic to benefit the Georgia Chapter of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) raised more than $215,000. The annual event is now in its 13th year and has raised more than $2.5 million since 2004.
The Charity Classic was held at Chateau Elan Golf Club on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. More than 350 golfers and six PBTF children and their families were on hand to play golf and meet the sponsors.

Tammy Bates, Managing Director of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation-GA Chapter said: “The generosity of JSL, and all the sponsors and participants of the Charity Golf Classic have allowed us to touch more than 4,000 families with pediatric brain tumors. We are grateful for their support.”
Proceeds from this year’s event will help PBTF provide emotional and social support, free educational materials to newly diagnosed families, college scholarships, and research funding.
