J. Smith Lanier & Co. Employee Toni Atkinson Awarded 2007 Outstanding CSR in Georgia |

Atlanta, Georgia—The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research has announced that Toni Atkinson is the 2007 Outstanding Customer Service Representative of the year recipient for the State of Georgia. To qualify for this top state honor, Toni submitted the winning essay on a topic that addressed the evolution of a CSR over the past 25 years. Additionally, Toni was selected for demonstrating outstanding service and professionalism within the insurance community. Toni began her career in the insurance industry 30 years ago as a commercial customer service representative. She relocated from Louisville, Kentucky to join J. Smith Lanier & Co. Toni has obtained her CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation and her ARM (Associate in Risk Management) designation. She is currently working on her CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation. She was a licensed Kentucky agent for many years and now is licensed in Georgia. “Toni was chosen as a state winner for exemplifying the characteristics and qualifications required to be eligible for the prestigious National CSR of the Year Award,” stated Dr. William T. Hold, Ph.D., CIC, CPCU, CLCU, and President of The National Alliance. “She represents the backbone of the insurance community, those customer service representatives distinguished for providing exceptional service on a daily basis.” Toni received a framed certificate, embossed with the Special Outstanding CSR of the Year bronze medallion symbol, and is now one of 37 individuals eligible for the national honor. The National Outstanding CSR of The Year carries a $1,000 cash prize and a scholarship for the recipient’s employer to any program offered by the National Alliance. “Everyone at J.
